FBLA Information
Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. (FBLA-PBL) is a nonprofit vocational student organization that prepares students for careers in business and business education.  Its 240,000-plus members in 12,000 chartered chapters include students from the United States, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Europe.  Its mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.

The Virginia High School Chapter consists of approximately 58 members  that are currently enrolled in a business class. The VHS FBLA chapter is located in Bristol, Virginia and is part of the New River Region of Virginia FBLA. The purposes and goals of Future Business Leaders of America are many. The FBLA provides students with a sense of dedication and loyalty to their school as well as the business world.  Attending conferences, competitions, and social gatherings enhances leadership abilities and involvement in the club.  Services to the community are provided by sponsoring needy families during the holidays and fundraisers to raise money for various events that are sponsored by FBLA throughout the school year.

Other activities will include:  selecting representatives for homecoming and Spring Festival, sponsoring a teacher breakfast, a candle fundraiser,  collecting and preparing food baskets during the holidays, a Christmas dinner planned by the students, participation in the March of Dimes campaign, visiting the nursing home and delivering Valentines, selling Heart-a-grams during the week of Valentine's Day, and a pizza party or field trip at the end of the year.
