Paul Childress
As a school campus team, we all agree that we are blessed with our "Paul of all trades." Mr. Paul is here to direct traffic every day. During our transition, he moved more furniture than the moving team and aided the custodial staff in keeping our new campus clean. Mr. Paul works past his expectation and will complete anything requested whether it is as an aide, but also as custodian, maintenance, etc. Mr. Paul gets things done. If you ask a question, he will drop his task to help you in that exact moment. BVPS is blessed to have a dedicated and phenomenal employee that is the best "traffic director." As one of our special education aides, Mr. Paul is a phenomenal support person for our students. At time our students prefer a male employee rather than a female and we are lucky to always have Mr. Paul volunteer to help these students. Whether it is a trip to the bathroom or extra assistance in a special area class, he is there.
Mackinzie Dean
Mackinzie is a great Nurse; she contributes so much to all schools. She is good with problem solving with students and parents. Steps into leadership when need be and does great. Goes above and beyond, jumps right in willing to help with anything. She makes it easier for us to get our work done and be able to give the students the care they need. Willing to take the lead, when necessary, does very well when one of us is out we know she is taking care of our students and getting the job done. In an emergency or stressful situation Mackinzie calmly assess the situation and proceeds with helpful solutions. Provides clear instruction to parents on how to best care for their child. Mackinzie does a great job; she is here to help the students in any way she can. Having her here is a blessing, we waited a long time to have a Float Nurse and she is the best!
Dr. Megan de Nobriga
Megan is a wonderful example of how an administrator should lead their staff. She does so with kindness, understanding and love. She has the most awesome way of making you want to do your job to the best of your ability, and I know our staff excels due to her knowledge and hard work ethic. Megan contributes not only to her staff here at central office but extends that to all the teachers, support staff, and students. She always goes the extra mile to be sure she’s taken care of all their needs. She goes above and beyond on a daily basis. She is constantly on the go to meetings both here in our office but out in the schools and community. She works long, hard hours to see that nothing or no one is left out and that their needs are met. I have been so in awe of Megan’s ability to handle any situation since the first week I worked with her. She keeps a cool head and does what needs to be done no matter how stressful or heated the situation gets. I have often wondered how in the world Megan is able to keep the long hours and demands and do it so gracefully. I truly admire the woman and person she is and just how dedicated she is to taking care of children and families. I feel if there is anyone deserving of this award it would be her.
Mackenzie Murray
She understood how my child is very emotional and low self-confidence and helps her so much with that. There was a very embarrassing incident that happened with my kid and the way she was able to let me know without embarrassing her anymore was extraordinary. Both my daughters have had her and not a day goes by that they talk so lovely about her. As soon as I see her, she always tells me something that someone said to give my child praise. I can see her heart in this career, and we need that more in teachers.
