VHS and VMS 2 hour delay, Elementary Schools closed Friday December 20, 2024

Dear Bearcat Families and Staff,

Several road closures associated with the fire at Virginia Intermont have disrupted our ability to run our normal bus routes in that part of the city.

Although we understand that the late notice is inconvenient for everyone, we have decided to close school for students at Virginia Primary and Virginia Intermediate Schools today.

Students at Virginia Middle School and Virginia High School will operate on a 2-hour delay and follow the pre-planned early release schedule. Due to street closures on MLK, Moore, Buchanan, Russell, Boulder Lane and parts of Oakview Avenue, secondary bus pick up points will be on the following streets --

600 Block of Oakview Avenue

Mary Street

Clinton Avenue

ALL STAFF will report on a two hour delay and follow the early dismissal schedule.
