Please help us congratulate these AMAZING Bearcats! Thank you for the contributions you make to our school community every day. YOU ARE THE BEST!
Brenda Berta - nominated by a Colleague.
While Brenda has worked here, we have been short staffed. She gets her job done quickly and accurately so she can help the rest of the team she is assisting to make sure the students are taken care of in a timely manner. Brenda is very fast paced and energetic. She is a great asset to her team and any other kitchen she assists with. Brenda has learned a lot in her time as a school nutrition worker and everything she has been trained to do she performs exceptionally. Anything anyone has time to train her to do she is eager to learn.
Sharon Parker Braddock - nominated by a Colleague.
Sharon goes above and beyond to help anyone in need. When we call for Sharon, she always comes and helps us and give us what we need. She is always willing to help in the classroom as well. Last year out kids were so excited to see her come into the room. Sharon is a great asset to Bristol City Schools. She always makes sure we have what we need. She is nice to everyone, and everyone loves her!
Mary Salamone - nominated by a Parent. Mrs. Salamone has gone above and beyond to help my son both last year and this year. My son is very intelligent but struggles when it comes to daily assignments. She spends time throughout her day keeping me in the loop of my son’s progress. She also offers her time to tutor him after school to help improve his grades. Evern afternoons when she has other appointments she still squeezes in time for my son. My son has had some great teachers over the years. However, eh ahs never had a teacher care so much about his success in high school. My son has struggled with his math, and I have become very frustrated. Mrs. Salamone has communicated with me throughout my frustration and given me words of encouragement. She has given me faith that even though my son is struggling with his math class, there is still hope that he will do great things in life. Mrs. Salamone has exhibited an understanding of mental health and the effect of mental health on a student’s learning. All teachers should be well versed in mental health and its challenges in school. However, there is a huge lack of experience. Mrs. Salamone has demonstrated the awareness that all teachers should have in order to help ALL students; not just students who do not experience mental health issues.
Ryley Sawyer - nominate by a Student.
He has a great teaching skill which has helped me focus in class. He is like a friend to me. He has helped many students and is the best!
