Good Evening Bearcat Families,
Bristol Virginia Public Schools will be operating on a two-hour delay on Monday, September 30th. We know that many homes in our community have been without electricity for the weekend, and we are excited to welcome our students back to school. We hope that the two-hour delay will ease any difficulties you may experience with loss of power.
Additionally, any students who may want to volunteer in the effort to mitigate the damages in Washington County or other nearby areas are encouraged to do so. A student's parent must submit a written note to the school principal to verify the day of community service. We will allow one day of community service to count as a school activity and not count as an absence.
Finally, we will be collecting donations of non-perishable goods and bottled water throughout the week to support communities affected by the hurricane. More details will be available soon.
