Percussion students, grades 9 through 12, meet for class daily learning techniques and skills required to play a wide variety of music and percussive instruments. Special consideration is given to mallet instruments (e.g. marimba, xylophone, concert bells, vibraphone, etc.), snare drum (concert and rudimental styles), and timpani, along with multi-percussion applications and marching percussion. Student prepare music for The Pride of the State Line, Virginia High School Marching Band, The Virginia High School Concert Band, and Percussion Ensemble.
